Landfill, Co-op Announce Expansion of Gas-to-Energy Plant
Flathead County Solid Waste District recently partnered with the Co-op to complete a multi-year methane well expansion project that will significantly increase gas collection ahead of the addition of a second engine.

Community Solar Phase II
Flathead Electric Cooperative’s Community Solar Phase II is made up of 198 solar panels located on one of the Co-op’s buildings, just west of the Kalispell Cooperative office at 35 Terry Road.

Stoltze Biomass Facility
Implementation of a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) between Flathead Electric Co-op and F.H. Stoltze Land & Lumber Company began in 2013.

Whitefish Hydro
In 2012, Flathead Electric Co-op signed a 2-phase power purchase agreement with the City of Whitefish for the advance purchase of electricity generated from the city’s hydro-electric generator.

Libby Hydro
In 2016, Flathead Electric Co-op (FEC) signed a 2-phase power purchase agreement with the City of Libby for the advance purchase of electricity generated from the city’s hydro-electric generator, located near the water treatment facility in Lincoln County.
