A Special Series on Resource Adequacy
These days, everyone is talking about the grid, the energy transition, and all things electric – and they should be! Our grid faces real “resource adequacy” challenges. What is resource adequacy? It’s both a term of art and a regulatory construct, but you can think of it as asking: “Will there be enough power and adequate transmission to maintain balanced supply and demand across the electric grid?” We want you to feel comfortable discussing resource adequacy — it impacts each member of Flathead Electric Cooperative. Going forward, Light Reading will occasionally feature a Special Series on resource adequacy issues. Our goal is to make learning fun while making you the most electric person in your day-to-day grid conversations. Welcome to Grid 101!
