This story has been updated here: UPDATE: MT 35 closure rescheduled to Thursday, February 1 – Flathead Electric Cooperative

The tree removal scheduled for today, Monday, January 29 has been delayed due to an issue with a crane needed for the tree’s removal. MT Highway 35 south of Woods Bay, near Fishing Rock Lane, was expected to close to traffic between 10 a.m. and noon today, Monday, January 29. That closure will not occur today. The new removal date will be announced as soon as possible.

This project is a partnership between Flathead Electric Cooperative (FEC), the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT), and the US Forest Service (USFS).
