Cindy Crosswhite

Meet Cindy Crosswhite — Executive Assistant and Employee Ambassador Committee Vice-Chair

Q. What does the Executive Assistant (and Employee Ambassador Committee Vice-Chair!) do for the Co-op?

A. I coordinate various activities, functions, and responsibilities supporting the General Manager, Assistant General Managers, and the Board of Trustees. I prepare agendas, attend regular and special board meetings, board committee meetings, and the annual meeting, and record the minutes.

I am also responsible for property and liability insurance coverage and act as the point of contact for any claims. I research, develop, and monitor budgets for the General Manager and for the Co-op’s donation and sponsorship programs.

As the vice-chair of the Ambassador Committee, I assist in community education and member engagement, always keeping the Co-op’s strategic goals in mind. I really enjoy building relationships with coworkers outside my work group and enhancing my professional skillset. We toured the Hungry Horse Dam this fall and it was absolutely fascinating!

Q. What’s the best part of your job?

A. I love the variety of my job. I never know what the day will be like—it can change quickly. I love working for Flathead Electric. If you ask my friends, they will confirm… probably because I am always trying to get them to apply for jobs that open within the Co-op!

Q. What’s your favorite thing about living in the Co-op’s service area?

A. The beautiful area. We enjoy taking advantage of Flathead Valley offerings, from boating all day to overnight hikes. Our son is a team and breakaway roper in the rodeo, and this area provides excellent opportunities for him.
