(If your power has already been restored, please disregard this message.)

UPDATE: Saturday, December 20, 1:30 p.m.

Our hearts go out to all our members who remain without power – some have now been without electricity for four days.

Since our 7:30 a.m. update this morning, crews restored electricity to another 700 members, bringing the total number of members down from 30,000+ to about 3,300. Workers made excellent progress yesterday, clearing trees, improving access, and making headway to help our line crews restore power. We hope this groundwork will lead to significant progress today. That said, there is still a lot of work to be done. There are still 125 individual outages remaining for crews to repair, some of which require complex and time-consuming restoration processes.

Today, we will begin transitioning our outage information messaging back to the Outage Map, where information is normally found in less widespread outage situations. This means that best available information will be available by locating your individual outage on the Outage Map. If you’d like help learning how to use the Outage Map, please read this: How to Use Flathead Electric Cooperative’s Outage Map & Online Account to Confirm We Know About Your Outage.

Estimated times of restoration have not yet been assigned to any outages – what’s important right now is that the map is an accurate reflection of all remaining power outages. If you are still out, please review the Outage Map to ensure your outage is reported, even if you’ve reported it before. If the map isn’t reflecting your outage, please report it.

We are hopeful that more significant gains will be made today. Our thoughts are constantly with our members still out of power. Please also keep our many crew members in your thoughts today as they tackle restoring electricity amongst massive, uprooted trees, treacherous mud, and ever-changing weather conditions. Thank you for your continued patience with this very unfortunate situation.
