Recent changes mean that even more types of windows now qualify for energy efficiency rebates.
Are you working on your home? Your Co-op may be able to help. Certain window and exterior door upgrades may qualify for rebates, depending on your income levels. Recently, changes were made to these rebates, expanding the types of windows and doors eligible for a rebate to include most of them!
Do I Qualify for a Rebate?
If you have a house with electric heat as your primary heat, and you are replacing windows, sliding glass doors, or exterior doors, you may qualify for a rebate.
- New window(s) must have a u-value of 0.30 or lower (0.29, 0.28, etc.)
- Doors must be Energy Star rated (proof of rating must be submitted)
How Much Will My Rebate Be?
- Rebates are $8 per square foot of eligible window and patio door area replaced
- Rebates for Energy Star-rated doors are $40 per exterior door
