Tonight’s planned power outage, scheduled to impact Canyon area residents from Hungry Horse to Essex on November 21 from 12:00 a.m. to approximately 4:00 a.m., has been postponed due to the incoming storm and will be rescheduled when the weather improves. More information will follow at that time.

On November 21, Flathead Electric Cooperative and the Bonneville Power Administration will work together to improve, maintain, and repair their respective transmission and distribution electric systems.  To allow crews to complete this work safely and efficiently, there is a planned power outage in the early morning hours of November 21. Residents from Hungry Horse to Essex will experience power loss beginning at 12:00 a.m. on November 21. Power restoration is expected to occur by 4:00 a.m. on November 21.

Approximately 2,900 Flathead Electric Cooperative members will lose power in this time frame. Canyon area residents are encouraged to look carefully at the maps below reflecting the planned outage. The Co-op will attempt to contact members impacted by the planned outage by placing automated calls and/or sending text messages to those members.

During the outages, impacted members outage can stay up to date by visiting the Co-op’s Outage Center at flatheadelectric.com/outage.
