Your Co-op has several scholarship options available for students who are members or whose parents/guardians are served by Flathead Electric at their primary residence. Of note, scholarships are awarded yearly to students pursuing trades degrees, including those interested in attending Flathead Valley Community College’s Early Childhood Education Program or Montana Tech’s Pre-Apprentice Line Program.
From December 1 – January 11, students are eligible to apply for scholarships offered by your Co-op’s partners at Basin Electric Power Cooperative (BEPC) and Montana Electric Cooperatives Association (MECA). BEPC offers one $2,500 scholarship and MECA one $500 scholarship.
From January 1 – February 22 , Flathead Electric Cooperative scholarships are open. Your Co-op will award over $120,000 to local students, ranging from $1,500 to $6,000 individual awards. These scholarships are funded by unclaimed capital credits.
