March Roundup for Safety Awards

Meeting in regular session March 9, Flathead Electric’s Roundup for Safety Board awarded $21,000 in grants to the following safety related community projects:
Libby Volunteer Ambulance – $2,500 for Stryker stair chair;
Kalispell Regional Medical Center – $6,965 for bicycle helmets;
Bigfork Rotary Foundation – $941 for street light;
Whitefish Area Land Trust – $5,000 for security system;
Ravenwood – $890 for first responder training;
Center for Asbestos Related Disease (CARD) – $335 for badge holders and t-shirts;
Libby High School Softball – $4,450 for netting, fence caps, breakaway bases.
Roundup for Safety is a voluntary program for FEC members who allow their electric bills to be rounded up to the next dollar, with the extra money going into a fund for community nonprofit safety projects.
