June Roundup for Safety Awards

Meeting in regular session June 8, Flathead Electric’s Roundup for Safety Board awarded $31,290 in grants to the following safety related community projects:
Flathead 4-H Foundation – $6,000 for ADA Handicap Ramp;
Habitat for Humanity – $2,200 for Scaffolding, Gloves, and Glasses;
Project Homeless Connect – $3,000 for Medical Vouchers;
Bigfork Youth Baseball – $4,100 for Netting and Helmets;
Abbie Shelter – $5,790 for Deck Repair;
Whitefish Christian Academy – $3,200 for Fencing; and
Flathead Valley Hockey Association – $7,000 for Ice Rink Concrete.
Roundup for Safety is a voluntary program for FEC members who allow their electric bills to be rounded up to the next dollar, with the extra money going into a fund for community nonprofit safety projects.
