July Roundup for Safety Awards

Meeting in regular session July 13, Flathead Electric Cooperative’s (FEC) Roundup for Safety Board awarded $23,720 in grants to the following safety related community projects:
Libby Assembly of God Church – $1,725 for a Keyless Entrance;
Girls on the Run Flathead Valley – $500 for First Aid Kits and Training;
Flathead County 4-H Foundation – $500 for Safety Sheers and a Pen;
Paws to Play – $5,000 for Fencing;
Montana Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation – $6,500 for Vision Screening Equipment;
Cabinet Peaks Medical Center – $4,495 for Rehabilitation Equipment; and
Evergreen School – $5,000 for Roof Heating Pads.
Roundup for Safety is a voluntary program for FEC members who allow their electric bills to be rounded up to the next dollar, with the extra money going into a fund for community nonprofit safety projects.
