Your Co-op has participated in the Northwest Montana Fair for so many decades that we’ve lost track of just how long it’s been. Each year, we look forward to connecting with members at the Fair. Since 2016, we’ve sponsored the Ribeye Raffle as part of our Fair participation – but you don’t have to wait for the Fair to get tickets! If you’d like a chance to fill your freezer with premium local 4-H/FFA beef, while raising money for local food banks, you can purchase tickets online.
How does Ribeye Raffle work?
Your Co-op purchases beef, lamb, and hogs during the 4-H and FFA (Future Farmers of America) Market Sale at the Fair. We donate most of the meat from those animals to community food banks. Then, we raffle off the prime cuts to raise cash for the food banks, too. Since 2016, Ribeye Raffle has raised $70,580 in cash and donated approximately 7,000 pounds of meat to local food banks. Two winners take home approximately 60, one-inch-thick steaks – valued at over $500 per winner!
