We can get through this together.
We empathize with our members who are experiencing financial challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are here to help.
What should I do if I’m having trouble paying my bill?
The first thing members need to do is call us (406-751-4483). We can facilitate pay arrangements and offer numerous payment options. We can educate members on available financial assistance and on the Co-op’s vast array of energy efficiency programs. It is simply a matter of staying connected.Call now

Disconnecting a member’s power is the last thing we ever want to do, and we will do everything we can to work with our members to keep the power on. Flathead Electric is a member-owned, not-for-profit utility. We cannot ask those who do pay their bills to subsidize those who don’t. Your Co-op is also a business that operates on cooperative principles. We are here to help our members, and it really is simply a matter of staying connected.
COVID-19 Protected Class Deferred Payment
As our community recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic, Flathead Electric Cooperative will resume disconnections for accounts with a past due balance. Per the Governor’s May 19 Directive, Flathead Electric Cooperative will not disconnect electrical service due to non-payment or charge late fees for members who fall into a COVID-19 protected class, meeting all three of the following criteria:
- are sheltering in place under this order; AND
- are a member of a vulnerable population; AND
- have been financially impacted as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak.
If you qualify for protection under these qualifications, please complete a COVID-19 Protected Class Deferred Payment Request here.
