FEC 2019 Trustee Election Results
Reconvening the Annual Meeting April 8, the Board of Trustees for Flathead Electric Co-op announced election results. Ballots were due to Survey & Ballot Systems (SBS), an independent election processing company, by April 4, 2019. Flathead Electric received certification from SBS that a total of 6,060 ballots were received.
Three seats on the Flathead Electric Board of Trustees were up for election. Candidates had to be members of the Co-op and live in the district they sought election to represent.
The certification stated that incumbent Trustee Stacey Schnebel (District 1-Columbia Falls to Essex), ran unopposed and received 5,506 votes. Incumbent Trustee Doug Grob (District 4-Helena Flats, Columbia Falls Stage) held his seat by receiving 3,279 votes against challenger Wallace Sutton, who received 2,614 votes. Incumbent Trustee Gary Boe (District 7-Kalispell, south of US Hwy 2) also held his seat by receiving 4,546 votes against challenger Shawn Benware, who received 1,295 votes.
