BPA has sole authority to initiate and end a PSPS on its transmission system. Our role is to:
- Coordinate with BPA and local emergency partners;
- Identify how the BPA transmission decision will affect our members and critical facilities;
- Notify potentially affected members as quickly as reliable information allows;
- Support local public-safety coordination; and
- Restore or confirm local service after BPA re-energizes the transmission supply.
