If you purchased electricity in 2024, your April or May bill will contain a statement of your capital credit allocation. Amounts allocated are determined by your 2024 energy use. Capital credits are not returned the year they are earned so that they can be used to pay Co-op expenses. This reduces the Co-op’s need to borrow money and helps keep rates low. Typically, capital credits are paid several years later, so keep your address current with your Co-op!
