A message from Mark Johnson, CEO & General Manager
Dear Members of Flathead Electric Cooperative,
We have done our best to educate you on the challenges electric utilities currently face. We’ve talked a lot about the increasing demand for electricity and our concerns about the ability of generation and transmission resources to meet that demand. We have highlighted your Co-op’s wildfire mitigation efforts while, in the wake of the devastating wildfires that ravaged other parts of our country, we are reminded that wildfire represents perhaps the greatest threat to the physical security of our system.
What is your Co-op doing to address these multi-faceted challenges? In four words: all that we can.
Join us for the Annual Meeting & Energy Expo to learn more about this work on your behalf. This year, the meeting will focus on resource security and what we’re doing to maintain our access to the affordable, reliable, and safe electricity that powers our community. We’ll have experts on hand to answer your questions, explain your energy choices, and educate your kids. A short business meeting with a dynamite speaker will take place, and we’ll give out prizes and scholarships, as always.
Last year we asked for your feedback following our first ever Annual Meeting & Energy Expo at FVCC, and we want you to know — we listened! A couple of changes have been made this year to make the event more accommodating. Check our webpage to see what is new this year and RSVP — we hope to see you there!
