Community Solar 3 has officially been energized and is now generating solar power onto the grid!
For members who have purchased panels, depending on the payment option they selected, they will either receive an invoice from the Co-op or begin seeing installment charges on their February or March billing statement, depending on their billing cycle dates.

Your Co-op is excited to share that the racking for Community Solar III is now fully installed! This milestone brings us one step closer to energizing this project. The next phase will be installing the solar panels themselves, which will transform the racking into a functioning solar array. Once the panels are in place, crews will proceed to electrical work and system testing. We expect the project to begin producing solar power by mid-November.

We are pleased to announce that after permitting delays beyond our control, the Community Solar 3 project will break ground on Thursday, June 12. Our contractors anticipate a late summer completion. Congrats again to all of our Community Solar III solar panel generation purchasers! Your member-owned, not-for-profit electric co-op is excited about this project, which was made affordable by grants from the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Rural Energy Program for America (REAP) program and the Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF). Community Solar III is a little bit late getting started due to grant-related delays. The delays are beyond our control, but we have awarded the bid and the contractor is confident that they will be able to break ground this fall. Weather will determine how far construction will progress this year, but we are looking forward to a summer 2025 launch of Community Solar III.
