Flathead Electric Cooperative hosts its 88th Annual Meeting & Energy Expo on Thursday, April 17, from 3:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Flathead Valley Community College.
Flathead Electric Cooperative’s 88th Annual Meeting & Energy Expo will be held Thursday, April 17 at Flathead Valley Community College’s Wachholz Center. The meeting is an open house-style event open from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Members are encouraged to attend at any point within that time frame.
The Energy Expo will be open throughout the event. Outside, linemen will offer electrical safety demos and Touch-A-Truck. Inside, members will find interactive booths, activities, and energy experts, along with Dan the Magic Man. Information about the Co-op’s annual election will be available. Staff and Trustees will be on hand to answer questions. Food will be served throughout. Members and eligible students may enter to win scholarships and prizes, including a $500 electric bill credit.
A brief business meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. Keynote speaker Rick Dunn, General Manager of Benton PUD, will discuss resource security, or the value that comes from having access to a reliable, affordable, and safe power supply. Mr. Dunn will further consider the threats to resource security in Northwest Montana, and potential solutions, too.
