Meet Stacie Dellamano – Chief Financial Officer
Q. What does the Chief Financial Officer do for the Co-op?
A. At first, it might look I just “do numbers,” but I’m actually responsible for ensuring the overall financial health of the cooperative. That includes strategic planning, risk management, accounting, budgeting, reporting, and much more. Managing financial risk at an electric utility is complex, as energy price fluctuations, interest rates, infrastructure costs, and other moving targets all impact rates. People also make up a big part of my job. A CFO needs to be comfortable translating complex financial matters for Trustees, staff, and members.
Q. What’s the best part of your job?
A. It’s exciting to work for a Co-op that has good financial processes and systems firmly in place, along with a strong financial foundation. I’m excited to be part of the leadership team here and am looking forward to a fantastic future at Flathead Electric Co-op.
Q. What’s your favorite thing about living in the Co-op’s service area?
A. Hiking! My husband and I hiked Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, in July. We had so much fun training for that by hiking all over the Flathead Valley. Kilimanjaro is beautiful and majestic, but Montana has it beat.
