Your Co-op sure enjoyed celebrating at the NWMT Fair Parade last Friday. Come see us at the Fair!

To kick off Fair Week, Co-op Trustees and staff joined the Northwest Montana Fair Parade on Friday, August 9. The parade had not been held since 2021 and was well attended by parade participants and spectators. This year, the United Way sponsored and organized the event, themed “Exploring Montana’s Best.”

The Co-op will welcome members to its Electric Fun House booth at the Northwest Montana Fair and Rodeo Wednesday, August 14 through Sunday, August 18. Members (and their kids!) can check out a hydroelectric dam model and ask questions about the hydropower system that provides our area with affordable, reliable, carbon-free electricity. Snap your family’s photo in our bucket truck photo booth or play games with Co-op staff – we think you’ll find our fair booth is electrifying!

Co-op staff will also be on hand to sell Ribeye Raffle tickets. Each year, the Co-op supports local 4-H and FFA clubs by purchasing stock at the stock sale. Most of the meat gets donated to local food banks, but the premium cuts are raffled off as a fundraiser that also benefits local food banks.

Staffers Ricky Kjos and Courtney Stone offer sweet treats to spectators watching in front of The Ritzy.

Since 2016, Ribeye Raffle has raised $70,580 in cash and donated approximately 7,000 pounds of meat to local food banks. Two winners take home approximately 60, one-inch-thick steaks – valued at over $500 per winner! Tickets are $1 each, or 6 for $5. Purchase at the Fair or online at flatheadelectric.com/ribeyeraffle

See you at the Fair!
