Each spring, member-owners of Flathead Electric, a not-for-profit, democratically governed cooperative, participate in an election to determine who represents them on the Board of Trustees and to consider any potential Bylaw amendments.
Your Co-op allows members to opt out of paper bills and to opt out of paper ballots – those are separate options, meaning that opting out of one does not automatically opt a member out of the other. If you still receive a paper ballot and would like to help your Co-op save paper and postage costs, please opt out of your paper ballot soon! Bonus: you’ll be automatically entered to win one of ten $50 electric bill credits.
Members who opted out of their paper ballot in past years do not need to opt out again and are not eligible for the $50 bill credit.
How do you opt out? During the first week of January, all Co-op members with e-mail addresses on file who have not already opted out of receiving a paper ballot for annual Co-op elections will receive an e-mail from the Co-op’s independent election administrator, Survey & Ballot Systems (SBS). That e-mail will allow you to manage your ballot preferences.
