Better service is focus of survey

Sample of 500 members asked for opinions

Flathead Electric employees and trustees plan to use the results of a recent member survey to help improve service to all Co-op members.

A total of 500 members were randomly selected to participate in a survey conducted by an independent firm. While telephone numbers of members were selected randomly, the survey was scientifically designed to assure representation of members in all communities served by Flathead Electric throughout the Flathead Valley and Libby.

The survey consisted of 45 questions on a variety of topics, including satisfaction with service, preferences for communication and other pertinent subjects.

The results will be used to help guide decisions on how to best serve Co-op members. The last survey was conducted about two years ago, the interval recommended for such member satisfaction assessments.

Interviews were conducted by One to One Direct, while the survey questions were designed by A&A Research of Kalispell, which has conducted numerous scientific polls in Northwest Montana. A&A will compile the results and prepare a summary for use by Flathead Electric management and the Board of Trustees.

While the survey is intended primarily for internal use, selected results may be published in a future issue of Watts Happening.
