Co-op, manufacturers team up to offer double rebates on energy-efficient washers

Save money on purchases between April 15 and July 15

If you’re in the market for a new washing machine, you can take advantage of a double coupon offer that will make an Energy Star-rated washer much more affordable.

energy starFrom April 15 through July 15, members can cash in on savings by combining a $100 rebate from Flathead Electric with a rebate from participating manufacturers.

Participating utilities in the Northwest —including Flathead Electric—are encouraging customers to save energy and money on utility bills by choosing ultra-high efficiency models. The offer is designed to promote and boost sales of Energy Star qualified clothes washers and create an added incentive for stepping up to ultra-high efficiency clothes washers.energy efficient washer

Manufacturers will offer $25 or $50 rebates, depending on the Modified Energy Factor of the washing machine. Ultra-energy efficient models use 40 percent less energy and 50 percent less water than conventional models.

Rebate coupons will be included in Flathead Electric bills for the April billing cycle. To take advantage of the double rebate offer, follow the instructions on the form to receive the mail-in rebates. Extra rebate forms are available at Flathead Electric offices. The double rebate offer is good only on washing machines purchased between April 15 and July 15.

During 2003, more than 1,000 Flathead Electric members took advantage of the Co-op’s rebate on Energy Star-rated washers. Combining the Co-op rebate with the manufacturer’s offer is an opportunity for even greater savings.

For more information, call the Co-op or ask retailers about this offer.
