FEC Four Year Scholarship 2008/2009

Flathead Electric Cooperative offers eleven $4,000.00 general scholarships to seniors graduating from accredited high schools in its service territory. Funds will be distributed at $1,000.00 per year for four consecutive years.

Parents of candidates must be members of Flathead Electric Cooperative, and served by the Co-op in their primary residence.  Scholarship money must be used to attend a four-year Montana school.  Candidates must present this completed application to their high school guidance counselors with a personal statement by March 28, 2008. Counselors will screen applications and choose five finalists from each school. The final decision will be made April 25, 2008 and the initial $1,000.00 will be delivered to scholarship winners by August 31, 2008. The decision is based on academic achievement, the personal statement, financial need, and school and community activities.

FEC Two Year Scholarship 2008/2009

Flathead Electric Cooperative offers five $1,000.00 general scholarships to seniors graduating in its service territory. Funds will be distributed at $500.00 per year for two consecutive years.  This scholarship is intended to help students pursue a two-year degree or certificate in a Vocational/Technical area.

Parents of candidates must be members of Flathead Electric Cooperative, and served by the Co-op in their primary residence. Scholarship money must be used to attend a two-year Montana school.  Candidates must present this completed application to their high school guidance counselors with a personal statement by March 28, 2008. Counselors will screen applications and choose five finalists from each school. The final decision will be made by April 25, 2008 and the initial $500 will be delivered to scholarship winners by August 31, 2008. FEC One Year Scholarship to Flathead Valley Community College 2008/2009

Flathead Electric Cooperative offers a $1,500.00 scholarship to a senior graduating from a high school in its service territory. Funds will be distributed at the beginning of the school year.  This scholarship is intended to help students pursue a degree or a certificate from FVCC.

Parents of candidates must be members of Flathead Electric Cooperative, and served by the Co-op in their primary Residence. Scholarship money must be used to attend Flathead Valley Community College. Candidates must present this completed application to their high school guidance counselors with a personal statement by March 28, 2008. Counselors will screen applications and choose three finalists from each school. The final decision will be made by April 25 2008 and the initial $1,500 will be delivered by August 31, 2008. The decision is based on academic achievement, the personal statement, financial need, and school and community activities.

FEC Flathead Valley Community College "Non-Traditional" Student Scholarship 2008/2009

Flathead Electric Co-op offers two $2,000 general scholarships to non-traditional students from the Co-op’s service territory. Funds will be distributed at $1,000 per year for two consecutive years to students attending Flathead Valley Community College.

Candidates must be members of Flathead Electric Cooperative, and served by the Co-op in their primary Residence. Scholarship money must be used to attend Flathead Valley Community College. Candidates must present this completed application to FVCC or Flathead Electric by March 28, 2008. FEC staff will screen applications and notify recipients by April 25, 2008. The final decision will be made April 25, 2008 and once awarded, the student will provide a letter of enrollment from FVCC before the initial $1,000 will be delivered by August 31, 2008. The intent of the two-year award is for the education to be continuous. Interruptions may disqualify the recipient from receiving subsequent funds.

MECA Memorial Scholarship 2008/2009

Montana Electric Cooperatives’ Association offers a $500.00 general scholarship to a deserving student who will be attending college in the fall of 2008. Applicant or parent/guardian must be a member of a Montana electric cooperative and your local electric cooperative must be a member of Montana Electric Cooperatives' Association. All candidates must return this application to Flathead Electric Cooperative by January, 31 2008 to be considered.

The judges' decision is based on academic achievement, the personal statement, activities and a personal statement.

Basin Electric Scholarship 2008/2009

The Basin Electric Scholarship is designed to recognize and encourage the achievements of the children of member-cooperative consumers. A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student for the 2008/2009 academic school year. Winners are chosen by a scholarship selection committee.

All candidates must return this application to Flathead Electric Cooperative by February 15, 2008 to be considered.
