450 members and an almost equal number of visitors, attended the 76th Annual Members’ Meeting, held March 16, 2013 at the Christian Center in Kalispell. For a fifth year in a row, the venue proved to be excellent in accommodating a large group of people with comfort and quality in audio/ video presentations.

Reports were heard from Co-op management and also from candidates for the Board of Trustees. Back this year was the awarding of two $500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors Kaleb Mitchell of Glacier and Jason Newbury of Whitefish. Eleven students (who had to be present to win and accompanied by a parent/guardian who is a member of the Co-op) entered their names in this year’s drawing. Mitchell plans to attend Montana State University and Newbury plans to enroll at Flathead Valley Community College. Congratulations to all who took home prizes, including Ken and Donna Svendsen, who claimed the grand prize of a $300 bill credit. Leftover breakfast treats were donated to the Samaritan House to help the Flathead Valley’s homeless population.
