Below are information summaries and links for Flathead Electric's Rebate Programs

"Montana Home" Construction Package

Owner/Builders of new electrically heated homes built to the Montana Home specifications will receive an incentive upon completion of construction. Interested parties must:

1. Have an initial consultation with FEC staff to review and approve plans.
2. Sign a Montana Home Agreement.
3. Obtain the appropriate progress inspections.

Manufactured Home Incentive Program

Flathead Electric has two programs on new electrically heated Northwest Energy Efficient Manufactured (NEEM) homes sited in our service territory; a $750 Homeowner Rebate Program and a $150 Sales Representative Incentive Program.

NEEM Home Incentive Program

Energy Fix Residential Insulation Rebate

Flathead Electric Cooperative will pay rebates for new properly installed insulation in your electrically heated home. This offer is for existing homes only and does not apply to new construction.

Energy Fix Residential Prime Window Replacement Rebate

Flathead Electric Cooperative is offering rebates for qualifying models of replacement windows in electrically heated homes. In order to qualify:

• Existing windows must be either single pane wood or metal frame (with or without storm windows) or double pane windows with metal frames.
• Prime window replacements must meet Energy Star requirements and have a U-value of .30 or less.

Commercial Lighting Rebate Program

In an effort to reduce electrical consumption and to help our members to reduce their associated bills, Flathead Electric Cooperative and Bonneville Power Administration have jointly developed a commercial lighting retro-fit rebate program and a new construction lighting rebate program.

Ductless Heat Pump Rebate Program

Flathead Electric Cooperative is participating in a pilot program that promotes the installation of ductless heat pumps in existing electrically heated homes. For information check out this informational brochure or go to www.goingductless.com/fec.

Air Source Heat Pump Rebate

Flathead Electric Cooperative will pay you a $1,000 rebate if you purchase and install a qualifying model.

Here's how to qualify for the rebate:

• Purchase an Air Source Heat Pump from our approved installer list. Note: Look for a Heating Season Performance Factor (HSPF) of 8.5 or higher and a seasonal energy efficiency Rating (SEER) of 14.0 or higher. Be sure all specifications on the rebate form are met.
• Install the system in our service territory.
• Read the information on Air Source Heat Pumps and fill out the rebate form.
• Attach a copy of the invoice listing the manufacturer (brand name).
• Have your installer sign this form verifying that it meets the specifications above.
• List of approved installers.

Your rebate check, made out according to the rebate form, will be mailed within four weeks. Thank you for your participation in this important program.

Ground Source Heat Pump Rebate

Flathead Electric Cooperative will pay you a rebate if you purchase and install a qualifying model.

Here's how to qualify for the rebate:

• Purchase a Ground Source Heat Pump from our approved installer list.
• Install the system in our service territory.
• Read the information on Ground Source Heat Pumps and fill out the rebate form.
• Attach a copy of the invoice listing the manufacturer (brand name).
• Have your installer sign this form verifying that it meets the specifications above.
• List of approved installers.

Your rebate check, made out according to the rebate form, will be mailed within four weeks. Thank you for your participation in this important program.

Energy Star Appliance Rebate

Flathead Electric Cooperative will pay you a rebate if you purchase and install the following Energy Star rated model appliances.

• Clothes Washer - $70.00 with an electric water heater; $25.00 with a gas water heater
• Refrigerator - $25.00
• Dishwasher - $25.00
• Freezer - $25.00

If you have difficulty locating a qualifying model, call the Co-op office.

Here's how to qualify for the rebate:

• Purchase a qualifying model.
  Note: Look for the ENERGY STAR RATING. Call the Co-op if there are any questions.
• Install the machine in our service territory.
• Fill out the rebate form.
• Attach a copy of the purchase invoice listing the manufacturer (brand name) and model number of the machine.

A credit will be applied to the account number you designate within 2 to 3 weeks.

Electric Water Heater Rebate

Flathead Electric Cooperative will pay you a $60 rebate if you purchase and install a high efficiency model.

If you have difficulty locating a qualifying model, call the Co-op office.

Here's how to qualify for the rebate:

• Purchase a qualifying model.
  Note: Look for a .93 (or higher) energy factor for 60 gallons or less, and a .91 energy factor for 61 gallons or over. Call the Co-op if there are any questions.
• Install the tank in our service territory.
• Fill out the rebate form.
• Attach a copy of the purchase invoice listing the manufacturer (brand name) and model number of the tank.

A credit will be applied to the account you designate within 2 to 3 weeks. Thank you for your participation in this important program.
